TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO ARREST OF IMPAIRED DRIVER

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON)- On Tuesday March 4, 2014 at 10:10 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Glendon Drive at Thames Road, at which police discovered that the driver had been drinking. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a “FAIL”. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the local OPP detachment for further tests.

As a result of an investigation police have charged the driver Daniel KIMBALL, age 51of Southwest Middlesex with Driving a motor vehicle with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood as per Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code and Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit as per Section 7(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on April 3, 2014 to speak to the charges.
