(CALEDON, ON) – On October 28th, 2014 an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was patrolling in the Village of Bolton when she conducted a vehicle stop to check on the status of the vehicle’s validation sticker. Upon speaking with the male driver, the officers detected a strong odour of marihuana emanating from inside the vehicle. The driver was arrested and a search uncovered drug paraphernalia and a quantity of drugs, believed to be marihuana.
As a result, James J. HARKINS, 20, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II substance.
The accused was released and is scheduled to make an appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on December 11th, 2014.
