Traffic Complaint Results In Arrest

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) On August 16, 2013 at approximately 2:38 a.m., Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information regarding a possible impaired driver. A short time later, police stopped a vehicle matching the description on Victoria Street at McRae Street in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.

Officers soon discovered that the male had been drinking and was placed under arrest. The male was transported to the Strathroy OPP detachment for further tests.

As a result of an investigation police have charged Jeffery MCPHERSON, age 32 of Southwest Middlesex, ON with over 80mg as per Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded. The driver was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London Court room on September 19, 2013 to speak to the charge.
