(MIDDLESEX CENTRE TWP, ON) – A call from a concerned citizen led to the arrest of a London man for impaired driving. On September 15, 2013 at 1:05 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call from a motorist with regards to a possible impaired driver driving into oncoming traffic southbound on New Ontario Road in Middlesex Centre Township. The vehicle ended up driving into a ditch on Hedley Drive.
Police attended the scene on Hedley Drive and confirmed that driver had been drinking. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Strathroy OPP Detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation police have charged the male driver Wojtek JUSZCZYNSKI, age 55 of London, ON with the following charges:
Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle under the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with an Open Container of Alcohol under the Liquor Licence Act (LLA).
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London Court room on October 17, 2013 to speak to the charges.
