TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a male after acting on a traffic complaint on Byron Avenue in the Municipality of Thames Centre.

On September 16, 2014 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Middlesex OPP was on patrol in the area of Byron Avenue and Oakwood Avenue when they observed a vehicle matching the description of vehicle related to a previous traffic complaint. Police stopped the vehicle and it was discovered the driver was in possession of marihuana.

The driver was arrested. Further investigation revealed over 121 grams of cannabis marihuana in the driver’s possession and other paraphernalia along with a quantity of cash.

As a result of the investigation, 18 year old Joshua PAWLEY of Thames Centre, ON was charged with possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – under three kilograms, pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear with an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom November 7, 2014 to speak to the charge.
