Tractor Trailer T-Bones Pickup Truck – One Extricated

(MONO,ON) – On Wednesday July 27, 2016 at 9 am Dufferin OPP responded‎ to a two vehicle personal injury collision on Airport road at Highway 89 in Town of Mono. Dufferin EMS and Rosemont Fire Department responded as well.

Preliminary investigation reveals a eastbound tractor trailer hauling 40 head ‎of cattle t-boned a southbound F250 Ford crewcab pickup. The force of impact drove pickup truck through the intersection into ditch then in to a traffic signal light Knocking it over.‎ The pickup truck driver had to be extricated from the pickup. Both drivers were transported to an area hospital with non- life threatening injuries.

The scene will remain closed until 5:00 pm while cleanup is being completed. Charges are pending against the driver of the cattle truck.
