(ORILLIA, ON) – In the early hours of Tuesday October 8, 2013, members of the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment Street Crime Unit working in conjunction with officers from the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit and Community Drug Action Teams, Canine Unit, Emergency Response Team and Orillia OPP uniform members executed a search warrant on a residence in the southwest end of Orillia.
In the raid a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine and marijuana was seized.
Three people, all residents where the warrant was executed, have been charged with drug related offences.
Karli Anne Brooks, 18 years has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana.
David Townsend 42 years and Amanda Townsend 38 years have been charged with one count each of Possession of a Schedule II Substance- Cannabis Marijuana, Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine and Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the purposes of Trafficking – Cocaine all contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
All three have been released with a court date of November 19, 2013.
