(ORILLIA, ON) – Over the past weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 102 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Friday night at 6:00 p.m. until Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.
There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarm, 911 hang-ups, motor vehicle collisions, domestic/family disputes, Liquor Licence Act complaints, mischief complaints and Impaired driving.
On December 5, 2014 at approximately 11:16 p.m., Orillia OPP stopped a vehicle for speeding at Borland Street and West Street North in Orillia. Before the officer approached the vehicle it sped off on West Street North before losing control and crashing at the intersection of North Street and Park Street.
The male driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was arrested at the scene after failing a roadside breath test.
Todd PARTRIDGE, 32 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 milligrams Blood/Alcohol, Dangerous Driving and Flight from Police. He was released on a Promise to Appear and will be in Orillia court on January 13, 2015.
