(ST.MARYS, ON) – On Friday September 02, 2016, shortly after 1 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a mischief incident along Wellington Street in downtown St.Marys.
Officers located a Dodge Dakota pickup truck parked along the street and observed that the windshield was smashed and the tires had been punctured. Subsequent investigation revealed that damage had also been done to the hallway of an apartment along Queen St. East. Both incidents were determined to have occurred earlier in the morning. Through investigation police were able to ascertain the identity of the person responsible.
43-year-old Shawn TEAHEN of St.Marys has been arrested and charged with two counts of “mischief under $5,000”, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He has been released on a Promise to Appear. He is scheduled to attend at the Stratford Court of Justice on Tuesday October 11, 2016, where he will be answering to the charges.
