Three Youths Arrested and Charged After Robbery on Trafalgar Street

On Tuesday, September 20 2016 at approximately 10:30 p.m., London Police responded to the area of 1815 Trafalgar Street for a report of a robbery on the sidewalk near that location.

An adult male was assaulted by three male youths, who proceeded to steal his cellphone and an undisclosed amount of Canadian Currency. A second adult male attempted to intervene during the altercation, and was threatened with a knife by these same youths. The males fled on foot, and proceeded to damage a vehicle in the area. Police attended, located and arrested all three in relation to the robbery.

One of the victims was transported to hospital by EMS with minor injuries, while the second victim did not sustain injuries.

The following Criminal Code of Canada charges have been laid in relation to this investigation:

17-year-old male from London:

– Robbery, contrary to section 343(b); and

15-year-old male from London:

– Robbery, contrary to section 343(b);

– Uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death, contrary to section 264.1(1);

– Weapons dangerous to the public peace, contrary to section 88(1); and

– Failing to comply with a YCJA sentence.

15- year-old male from Chippewa of the Thames:

– Robbery, contrary to section 343(b); and

– Possession of stolen property, contrary to section 354(1).

Due to their ages, the youths charged cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

This investigation has been reassigned to our Criminal Investigation Division.
