(PERTH SOUTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a three vehicle collision that took place this morning south of Stratford. Just before 9:00 a.m. Perth County OPP officers responded to the collision scene located at the intersection of Line 20 and Perth Road 119 (Highway 7 & 19).
Preliminary investigation has revealed a transport truck and trailer was travelling southbound on Perth Road 119 when it initially collided with a Subaru Outback that was travelling eastbound on Line 20. The transport truck and trailer then left the roadway on the east side of the road and struck hydro pole and a northbound Ford sedan.
Crews are on scene removing the damaged vehicles and making repairs to the downed hydro wires.
Two occupants from the Subaru Outback and a single occupant from the Ford sedan were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the transport truck was uninjured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
To avoid travel delays please take alternate routes. The roadway will be closed at this intersection for an estimated two to four hours.
