THREE PEOPLE FACING STOLEN VEHICLE CHARGES

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers were called to an intoxicated person sleeping in a vehicle, in a driveway on Baptist Church Road, in the County of Brant.

At approximately 6:40 a.m. October 21st, 2014, officers attended the residence on Baptist Church Road and found the vehicle to be stolen. The male who had been sleeping had fled the area on foot. The OPP West Region Canine unit attended the scene and tracked the suspect for an hour and a half and located the male suspect. While officers were doing containment in the Pauline Johnson Road area, they observed another stolen vehicle drive into a ditch and two more persons fled on foot. Officers searched the area and a male and female were arrested.

Shawn SANDY 37 years of age from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation is facing the following criminal charges

Possession of Credit Card
Identity Theft
Obstruct Peace Officer

Kyle SANDY 27 years of age from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation is facing the following criminal charges

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00
Possession of Break in Instruments

Roni CRAWFORD 30 years of age from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation is facing the following criminal charges

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00
Possession of Break in Instruments

The female accused is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on November 21st, 2014 to answer to the charge.

The two male accused are currently being held before the courts.
