(Bracebridge, ON) – Members of the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged three individuals with Impaired Driving related offences over the course of Easter weekend.
On April 3rd, 2015 at 4:45 p.m., while police were conducting a RIDE program at Highway 11 North and Highway 118, a vehicle entered the check point and the operator was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. The investigation revealed that the driver was operating his vehicle with more than 80 mg of alcohol per 100mL of blood and 29 year-old Gregory Oosterom of Toronto was charged with Over 80 CC 253(1)(b). He will appear in Bracebridge court on May 5th, 2015.
On April 3rd, 2015 shortly before 9:30 p.m. while conducting general patrol in the town of Bracebridge, police became concerned about the driving behaviour of a motorist travelling on Highway 118. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 South in Bracebridge to investigate and subsequently charged 37 year-old Bryce Boyda of Bracebridge with Operating a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Drug CC 253(1)(a). Boyda will appear in Bracebridge Court on May 19th, 2015.
On April 4th, 2015 shortly after 1:30 a.m. while patrolling the town of Bracebridge, police investigated the unusual placement of a vehicle on Bowman Drive in Bracebridge. The investigation led police to determine that alcohol was a factor and 41 year-old Frederick Ferguson of Puslinch, ON was charged with Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle while his ability was Impaired by Alcohol CC 253(1)(a) and Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle Over 80 mg CC 253(1)(b). He will appear in Bracebridge Court on May 19th, 2015.
