(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 40 year old male recently lost his driving privileges for three days following a traffic stop on June 28, 2014. Just after 1:30 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a Nissan sedan in Bayfield for a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) check.
Upon speaking with the driver the officer detected the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed and the driver registered a warning. As a result, a 40 year old male from Kitchener was served with a three day driver’s license suspension. His motor vehicle was also impounded for three days.
