(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – After an ongoing investigation, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three males from the Municipality of West Grey in connection to the theft of scrap metal from a rural property on Wilder Lake Road in the Township of Southgate.
On August 23, 2015, a black Chevrolet pick-up truck was observed leaving the property on Wilder Lake Road between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.. A few days later, August 27th, the owner of the property reported the theft of 29 used car batteries, a quantity of tires and hub-caps, two antique cast iron tractor seats and a quantity of miscellaneous scrap metal to police.
Dearl Kenneth VESSIE, 25, has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property under $5000.
Nicholas Kyle STORREY, 24, has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5000.
Mario John TESTON, 25, has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5000.
All three men are scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on October 29, 2015.
