Thomas Daniel SLOTE – Drunk Driving

(HALIBURTON, ON) On Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:45 am an officer from the Haliburton Highlands OPP conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 35 and County Road 21 in Minden Hills.

During the course of the investigation the officer was able to determine that the driver had been consuming alcohol. A demand was made for a roadside test that resulted in a “fail”. The driver was arrested for over 80 and transported to the Haliburton Highlands Detachment. Intoxilyzer tests were completed at the Detachment.

Charged is Thomas Daniel SLOTE, 65 years old, of Haliburton, Ontario. He is charged with: Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood contrary to Sec. 253 (1) (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Minden on November 4, 2015.
