(RUSSELL COUNTY, ON) In the week of March 9, 2015 to March 16, 2015, Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 202 occurrences. Among those occurrences OPP responded to 20 collisions, 3 thefts, and 7 domestics and 2 impaired drivers.
As a result of those occurrences, 42 people were charged with various offences.
OPP Constable Information session
(Rockland, ON) Following the Job Fair that took place this weekend the OPP is pleased to welcome everyone to the OPP Job Information Session on Wednesday the 18th of March, 2015. Breach of Conditions
(Rockland, ON) On March 9, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a breach of conditions incident on Edwards Street in Rockland. At that location a male was walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by another male who spoke to him, knowing if he was not supposed to be in contact with him.
Marc LALONDE, 40 years old, from Rockland will have to appear in L’Original court on March 25, 2015 to answer to the following charge:
CC 145(5.1) Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge
Domestic
(Embrun, ON) On March 10, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a domestic related incident that would have taken place on Notre-Dame Street in Embrun. A female reported being involved in an abusive relationship. The OPP investigated the complaint and concluded that a male had committed criminal offences.
A 27 year old male, from Casselman will have to appear in L’Orignal court on April 1, 2015 to answer to the following charges:
CC 266 Assault – Spousal
CC 267(a) Assault with a Weapon – Spousal
Domestic
(Casselman, ON) On March 11, 2015 OPP Constables responded to an assault complaint on Fillion Street in Casselman. At that location a male and female were arguing when the female was assaulted. The officers investigated the complaint and concluded that an offence was committed.
A 37 year old male, from Casselman, will have to appear in L’Orignal court on April 1, 2015 to answer to the following charge:

Breach of conditions
(Rockland, ON) On March 12, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a domestic related incident. While following up on a previous case it came to their attention that a male was contacting his ex-partner when having conditions not to do so.
A 53 year old male, from Rockland will have to appear in L’Orignal court on March 18, 2015 to answer to the following charge:
CC 145(3) Fail to Comply with Recognizance

(Embrun, ON) On March 13, 2015, OPP Constables responded to an assault complaint on Dignard Street in Embrun. At that location a male and female were arguing when the female was assaulted in the facial area. The officers investigated the complaint and as a result they concluded that offences had taken place.
A 29 year old male, from Casselman will have to appear in L’Orignal court on Aril 1, 2015 to answer to the following charges:

Assault
(St-Albert) On March 13, 2015, OPP Constables responded to an assault complaint on Route 900 West on St-Albert. At that location some parents had arranged a pick up time for the children. Once at the location, a dispute started and a female was assaulted.
Angele LANGLOIS, 34 years old, from Embrun will have to appear in L’Orignal court on April 1, 2015 to answer to the following charges:

CC 264.1(1)(a) Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
Mischief
(Rockland, ON) On March 13, 2015 OPP Constables responded to an unwanted person’s incident at the YMCA in Rockland. At that location some young people activated the fire alarm in the building. The OPP investigated the incident and as a result all young persons were warned verbally, but one young person was issued a provincial offence notice for trespassing.
Drugs
(Embrun,ON) On March 13, 2015, OPP Constable Patrick Dussault was at a R.I.D.E check point when a vehicle pulled up to him. The officer noticed open liquor in the vehicle. The investigations led to the discovery of illicit drugs as well.
Braeden ORIEUX, 18 years old, from Embrun will have to appear in L’Orignal court on May 6, 105 to answer to the following charge:
CDSA 4(1) Poss of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams
Impaired Driver
(Embrun, ON) On March 15, 2015, OPP Constables responded to a car in the ditch incident on Notre-Dame Street in Embrun. At location they located a van in the ditch. The driver showed signs of impairment by alcohol. The driver was taken to the OPP office where he failed further breath tests.
Sebastien BERNARD-LAPORTE, 20 years old, from Gatineau, Quebec will have to appear in L’Orignal court on April 1, 2015 to answer to the following charges:
CC 253(1)(a) Care or Control While Impaired (Alcohol)
CC 253(1)(b) Care or Control Over 80 mgs.
Intoxicated in Public
(Embrun, ON) On March 1, 2015 OPP Constable Luc Turgeon was on patrol on St-Marie Road in Embrun when he noticed a male unstable on his feet walking along the road. The officer spoke to the male who was intoxicated by alcohol. During the investigation some illegal drugs were found on the male.
Dale A. MCMAHON, 56 years old, from Embrun will have to appear in L’Orignal court on April 15, 2015 to answer to the following charge:
CDSA 4(1) Poss of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
He was also issued a provincial offence notice for the following infraction:
LLA 31(4) Being intoxicated in public place
Impaired Driver
(Casselman, ON) On March 15, 2015, OPP Constables responded to an erratic driving complaint on Principal Street in Casselman. The officer attended location and spoke to driver who showed signs of impairment by alcohol. The driver was transported to the OPP detachment. At that location he provided breathe samples and the results exceeded the legal limit.
Jacob LAUZON-CAMERON, 20 years old, from Gatineau, Quebec will have to appear in L’Orignal court on April 8, 2015 to answer to the following charges:
CC 253(1)(a) Driving While Ability Impaired- motor vehicle (Alcohol)
CC 253(1)(b) Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood
He was also issued some provincial documents for the following infractions:
HTA 33(1) Driver fail to surrender licence
CAIA 3(1) Fail to have insurance card
HTA 44.1(5) Young driver – B.A.C. above zero
