(EMBRUN, ON) – The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating several incidents after responding to 224 calls for service from Sunday September 13th to Saturday September 19th. Among these occurrences OPP responded to 7 domestic disputes, 3 assaults, 2 harassments, uttering threats, 2 fail to comply with court order, 3 drug offences and 3 impaired related occurrences involving offences of resist and flight while pursued by Peace Officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
As a result of those occurrences, two females and seven males were charged with various offences.
The Russell County Detachment needs assistance from the public to identify two suspects.
In the afternoon on September 19th 2015, members of Russell County OPP were dispatched to a robbery (home invasion) that occurred in Rockland, Ontario. Two (2) males with baseball bats entered the residence, approached the two (2) occupants and demanded money. Both victims cooperated with the males, complied with their requests and there were no injuries. After retrieving the money, both males fled the residence on foot in an unknown direction. Police attended the scene, interviewed neighbours, conducted a neighbourhood canvass and a search of the area, but were met with negative results.
The suspects were described as:

Domestic Disputes
OPP officers investigated 7 domestic disputes from Sunday to Saturday. One male was charged with one count of assault and one count of fail to comply with his recognizance. No other criminal offences occurred.
Impaired Driver
On September 15, James Gratton, age 45 of Hammond was arrested and charged with Refuse to provide a breath sample. This charge is laid when someone does not comply with the officer’s demand.
Just after mid-night on Friday September 18, Russell County officers were conducting at R.I.D.E initiative at the corner of Castor St and Concession St in the Village of Russell. The officers observed a vehicle which appeared to attempt to avoid the R.I.D.E. The officers stopped the vehicle and the female was arrested after failing a roadside alcohol screening test. Following her breath tests at the detachment Olivia Bankley, age 18 of Russell was charged with driving over 80mgs of alcohol. She was released on a promise to appear in court in L’Orignal on October 14.
On September 19, Amanda Schab, age 27 of St-Albert was involved in a single motor vehicle collision. She was arrested and charged for refusing to provide sample and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Drug related offence
Just after mid-night on September 17, officers located a suspicious vehicle parked in the Jean Coutu parking lot in Casselman. Provincial Constable Gabriel Iordache and Provincial Constable Mike Cunning observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Noah Lascelle, age 21 of Cornwall was charged for Possession of a substance in Schedule III, and Possession of a substance in Schedule II, both contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
During the evening on September 17, Provincial A/Sergeant Stephane Lapierre observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the dark behind a private parking lot off Grayrock Lane in Clarence-Rockland. A/Sergeant Lapierre investigate further and had grounds to charge Matthew Tobin, age 23 or Rockland and Jason Dos-Reis, age 22 of Limoges for possession of marihuana. They were released to appear in court in L’Orignal on October 14.
