On January 10th 2014 an unknown suspect allegedly took several snakes valued at almost $1000 from a pet store in the city of Kitchener. On January 12th 2014 Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 33 year old resident of Cambridge for these thefts and recovered 2 of the stolen snakes. One of the snakes was injured and as a result the male was charged with theft, possession of stolen property, trafficking stolen goods and unnecessary suffering to an animal. The male was held for a show cause hearing.
