Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two people in connection with an investigation into a series of shoplifting incidents. The incidents took place from July 2013 to February 2014 and involved locations in Toronto, York Region, Peel Region, Brantford, Hamilton, Halton Region and Waterloo Region. The estimated value of items stolen exceeds $30,000. A total of 39 criminal charges have been laid against each accused for offences of theft, possession of stolen property, fraud, use stolen credit card, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. The accused persons, a 55 year old male, and a 39 year old female, both reside in Brampton, Ontario. The alleged thefts took place at department and home improvement stores.
