(Champlain Twp., ON) A theft of more than 30 tires was reported in the morning of Monday August 12th at Car Lan Tire Center situated on Highway 34 in Champlain township. The investigation would suggest that the theft occurred sometime the previous night. Some trailers had bolts cut off where approximately 32 tires were found missing.
The investigation, led by Constable Mario Bourgeois, is ongoing.
(Hawkesbury, ON) Another theft of tires were reported on Monday August 19th at Rendez-Vous Nissan situated on Tupper Street in the Town of Hawkesbury. The investigation led by Constable Lise Durocher would suggest that someone broke into containers situated in the backyard of the car dealership and made way with 11 complete sets of tires (44). The matter is under investigation.
The thieves would have tampered with the containers situated behind the Hyundai dealership. Nothing was stolen.
