Theft from cars – arrest

On January 10, 2014 at 5:55 a.m., the Guelph Police were dispatched to the area of Normandy Street and William Street to investigate a person going through cars. Upon arrival, police were advised by witnesses that the responsible female was walking north bound on Victoria Road. Police located the female at the corner of Victoria Road and Casino Avenue pushing a small grocery cart containing three bags of property and she was arrested. A search of the bags discovered electronic items, cords, $26.55 in change and various pieces of identification. All the items were consistent with items taken from vehicles. The total value of the located items is approximately $500.
Amber MINNS, 22 years of Guelph has been charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach probation. She will appear in court on January 15, 2014.
