Theft

(Hammond, ON) On March 26, 2014 OPP Constables responded to a theft complaint on Gagne Road in Hammond. At that location the victim reported that his cellular phone was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. With the help of technology the owner was able to trace his phone to a home in the area. With that information the OPP investigated the matter and located the suspect with the phone. The investigation revealed that many offences had been committed by the same person.

A 17 year old male, from Hammond was arrested and his being held in custody. He will be appearing in front of a video bail hearing on April 7, 2014 to answer to the following charges:

 

CC 355(a) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

CC 334(b) Theft Under $5000 X3

YCJA 137 Failure to comply with disposition
