(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On November 7, 2015, members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere) on Highway 522 in Blair Township. At approximately 2:02 p.m., police approached a pick-up truck and determined the driver had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the officer’s investigation, Terry FRAZER, 53 years of age from Norfolk County, was arrested and charged for Driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood contrary to the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on November 3, 2015 to answer to his charges.
His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was operating has been impounded for seven days.
The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
