Terrence BARBET – Ditch Drunk Driving

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On June 29, 2014 at approximately 7:55 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were investigating a motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 44 south of Highway 7 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

At this time and location, while investigating the motor vehicle collision, police observed a 1981 Dodge Ram pick-up truck northbound on Wellington Road 44, lose control, enter the east ditch and rolled over.

Officers spoke with the driver and determined that he had been drinking. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.

Terrence BARBET aged 40 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 MGS contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 18, 2014 to answer to the charge.
