(Edwardsburgh/Cardinal, Ontario) – On Tuesday the 13th of August 2013 the Prescott Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a report of an assault on Walker Road in Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township that had occurred sometime August 11, 2013.Investigation led to the arrest two male persons and both were taken into custody.
The 15 year old victim sustained minor injuries.
A 19 year old male from Edwardsburgh/Cardinal has been charged with Assault, Forcible Confinement and Overcoming Resistance to Commit and Indictable Offence. A 17 year old male form Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township has been charged with Assault, Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, Forcible Confinement, Overcoming Resistance to Commit and Indictable Offence and Fail to comply with an Undertaking or Recognizance. Both are currently in custody.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
