On Sept. 26th, 2014 around 8:30 am the Barrie Police received a call for assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police with regards to a business vehicle that had been taken without permission from the Huntsville area.
The business vehicle was equipped with a GPS locator device that enabled the owner to track the vehicle to the Barrie area. In coordination with both Provincial Police and the business owner, the vehicle was located in a downtown Barrie neighbourhood and the driver was arrested. The vehicle was recovered and held for the rightful owner.
The Ontario Provincial Police will be following up this investigation.
