(COLCHESTER ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Crime Unit are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred early this morning in the village of Colchester.
At approximately 2:45 am police were dispatched to a residential fire on Draper St. Upon arrival they were advised by the fire department that it appeared that an accelerant had been used. Further, a witness advised that shortly before the fire he observed two men leaving the residence with garbage bags.
No one was in the house at the time and the Ontario Fire Marshall has been advised.
The investigation is continuing. Further information will be released when it becomes available.
