Suspicious $375,000 Fire

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated an incident after being called to a Highway 3, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, July 30, 2015 at approximately 10:54 p.m., the OPP and Norfolk County Fires Services responded to the address for a report of a fully engulfed garage and house fire.

Members of the Norfolk County Fire Services arrived on scene and the fire was brought under control by the attending fire fighters. The total damage is estimated at approximately $350,000 to $375,000 dollars.

Members of the Norfolk County OPP Criminal investigations Unit along with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office are continuing the investigation into the cause. There was no one home at the time of the fire.
