Suspects sought for convenience store robbery on Meadowlands

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating the recent robbery of a convenience store and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two male suspects responsible.

On March 20, 2015, at approximately 2:45am, two suspects entered a convenience store situated along the 800 block of Meadowlands Dr. near Prince of Wales Dr. One suspect carried a gun and the second a knife. A verbal demand was made for money by one of the suspects. The suspects fled with a small quantity of cash, cigarettes, and chocolate bars. There were no injuries.

The suspects are described as follows:

#1—Caucasian male or Black male with a light complexion, approx. 20-25 years, 6’0 (183cm). He was wearing grey jogging pants, dark blue windbreaker with grey stripes along sleeve, thin build and carrying a knife.

#2—Black male, approx. 25 years old, tall. He was dressed in black, black mitts, white scarf around face, spoke Somali and was carrying a gun.
