(Trent Lakes, ON) Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of Detective Inspector Paul YELLE of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), have made an arrest in the homicide that occurred in a residence on Fire Route 37 in Trent Lakes early Sunday morning.
OPP officers and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) had been called to a family residence on Fire Route 37 in response to a family disturbance call. Upon arriving at the residence police and EMS located a deceased male, Christopher YOUNG a, 27 year old resident of Stouffville, ON.
Officers at this time arrested the father of the deceased, 56 year old Robin YOUNG of Trent Lakes. The suspect has been held in custody charged with one count of Murder, and is to appear today in Peterborough Provincial Courts.
A Post Mortem has been scheduled for Monday August 12, 2013, to determine the cause of death. Members of the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) have been called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
