(TILLSONBURG, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Simcoe Street in Tillsonburg on April 4, 2014 shortly before 12:00 a.m. Prior to the stop, the vehicle was alleged to have been travelling 109 kilometers an hour in a posted 50 kilometer an hour zone.
The 17 year old male driver from Tillsonburg has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to The Highway Traffic Act. The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days. The driver also had his licence suspended for 7 days.
