(North Glengarry) – On July 2, 2015 at approximately 7:22am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a Traffic complaint on Alexandria Main Street, North Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol and had been involved in a motor vehicle collision.
Lorne THAW (36) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
– Fail to Remain – Highway Traffic Act
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on July 23, 2015.
(South Glengarry) – On July 3, 2015 at approximately 255am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a Motor vehicle collision on Boundary Road South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Dylan LALONDE (19) of South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
– Obstruct Peace Officer
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on July 30, 2015
DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOPS
(North Glengarry) – On July 2, 2015 at approximately 11:40pm, SD&G OPP officers intercepted a vehicle on Kenyon Street West, North Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana from an adult female driver and adult male passenger.
Michelle MACMILLAN (23) of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams
Shawn MACPHERSON (20) of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams
Both were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on August 5, 2015.
DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A VEHICLE
(South Glengarry) – On July 2, 2015 at approximately 7:29 pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report motor vehicle collision on County Road 17 in South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that a vehicle had been driven in a dangerous manner and collided with another vehicle. No injuries resulted. A quantity of suspected marihuana was also located on the adult male driver.
Daniel TAYLOR (20) of South Glengarry Township, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on September 2, 2015.
BREACH OF CONDITIONS
(South Stormont) – On July 2, 2015 at approximately 10:36pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a residence on Alguire Avenue, South Stormont Township following a report of an female youth being in contravention of conditions (Keep the peace and be of good behaviour/curfew) imposed from a previous incident.
A Female Youth (15) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking (9 counts)
– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking (3 counts)
She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (July 3, 2015). . The name of the accused is being withheld as per guidelines of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
