Stormont Dundas Press Releases

(North Stormont) – On July 15, 2015 at approximately 9:10am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a Dump trailer from a commercial property on Second Street, North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that overnight (July 14-15, 2015) a 12 Foot 2001 LEGA M12 Black Utility trailer was removed from the property.

An investigation continues.

(North Dundas) – On July 15, 2015 at approximately 4:29pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of an enclosed trailer taken from a property on Merkley Road, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that overnight (July 14-15, 2015) a 16’ White “PACE” enclosed cargo trailer with Tandem Axle was stolen.

An investigation continues.

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

(South Stormont) – On July 15, 2015, SD&G OPP officer conducted speed measuring enforcement on County Road 2, South Stormont Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

– July 15, 2015 – 6:17pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 137km/h (80km/h zone). Male driver (23) from Toronto, Ontario was charged accordingly.

THEFT OF BOATS

(South Glengarry) – On July 15, 2015 at approximately 11:58am, SD&G OPP responded to a report of the theft of two Boats from a property on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that sometime overnight (July 14-15, 2015) a 14 foot aluminum “SPRINGBOK” and a 2001 “LOWE LV1256 were taken.

An Investigation continues.

BREAK IN

(South Stormont) – On July 15, 2015 at approximately 2:19pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Beech Street, South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime between 9:30am- 11:30am on July 15, 2015 culprit(s) forcibly entered the home and removed 1 laptop computer.

An investigation continues
