Stormont Dundas Press Releases

STOLEN VEHICLES

(North Dundas) – On August 5, 2015 at approximately 6:47am, Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of an Ford F150 being taken from a property on Church Road, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that overnight (August 4-5, 2015) a 2012 Blue Ford F150 XLT Supercrew Model was stolen.

(North Dundas) – On August 5, 2015 at approximately 7:58am, Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a 2002 Saturn being taken from a property on Main Street North, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that overnight (August 4-5, 2015) a 2002 Blue Saturn L100 was stolen.

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(North Glengarry) – On August 5, 2015 at approximately 5:19pm, SD&G OPP officers intercepted a pedestrian on County Road 34, North Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that a male youth was in contravention of conditions (Keep the peace and be of good behaviour) imposed from a previous incident. A quantity of suspected marihuana was also located on the male.

A male (18) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Sentence (YCJA)

– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams

The name of the accused is being withheld as per guidelines of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on October 14, 2015.

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(North Glengarry) – On August 6, 2015 at approximately 1:31am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle on Main Street, North Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Roger LANTHIER (82) of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on September 2, 2015.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(South Dundas) – On August 5, 2015 at approximately 8:55pm, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Victoria Park Crescent, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a female and her ex-boyfriend resulted in the male stealing the female’s cell phone.

The 26-year-old male from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Theft Under $5000

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on September 5, 2015. The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
