DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(South Dundas) – On September 8, 2015 at approximately 3:25pm, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on County Road 18 in South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his ex-girlfriend resulted in the male assaulting the female on a previous date. Further information also revealed that the male had threatened her during a previous incident.

An adult male (24) from South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Uttering Threats

– Assault (2 counts)

– Sexual Assault

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 27, 2015. The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

(North Glengarry) – On September 9, 2015 at approximately 4:12am, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on Highway 417,North Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana and Methamphetamine.

The female driver, Katherine GAGNE (31) of Valley Field, Quebec was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on October 14, 2015.

THEFT

(South Glengarry) – On September 8, 2015 at approximately 12:08pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of the theft of Meat from a property on County Road 34, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that sometime Overnight (September 7-8, 2015) a quantity of meat was removed from a freezer.

An Investigation continues.
