Stormont Dundas Press Releases

(South Stormont) – On October 21, 2015 at approximately 5:46pm, an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD) officer intercepted a vehicle (mini bus) on Highway 401, South Stormont Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana from a male passenger in the vehicle.

Chatelain MACARTHUR (53) of Toronto, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) – Under 30 Grams

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 8, 2015.

The male driver, Bing ZI (29) of Toronto, Ontario is charged with;

– Fail to Maintain Daily Log (Highway Traffic Act)

(South Glengarry) – On October 21, 2015 at approximately 10:13pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) OPP officers responded to a report of intoxicated persons at a property on 4th Line Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation further indicated that a vehicle linked to the suspects had been involved in a single vehicle collision nearby on Highway 401.

Pierre SAUVAGEAU (46) of Drummondville, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) – Under 30 Grams

– Fail to Remain at Scene of a Collision (Highway Traffic Act)

– Being Intoxicated in a Public Place (Liquor Licence Act)

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on December 9, 2015.

Nathalie COTE (48) of Drummondville, Quebec is charged with;

– Being Intoxicated in a Public Place (Liquor Licence Act)
