(South Stormont) – On February 5, 2016 at approximately 4:28pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of County Roads 15 and 36, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of drugs. He was not injured.
Frederico BELMONTE (45) of South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Drugs
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
(South Glengarry) – On February 6, 2016 at approximately 8:01am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) scales on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol.
Alain LABELLE (46) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 25, 2016.
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(North Dundas) – On February 7, 2016 at approximately 6:24am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Harper Street, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between an adult male and his spouse. Further information revealed he was in contravention of a condition imposed (remain at his residence) from a previous incident.
The 26-year-old from Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
