(North Stormont) – On February 22, 2017 at approximately 9:07am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Labrosse Street, North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his ex-common-law spouse resulted in the suspect causing damage within the home. Upon his arrest, the male became resistant with officers.
The 24-year-old male from South Stormont Township is charged with;
– Mischief
– Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on March 7, 2017. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
(North Dundas) – On February 22, 2017 at approximately 10:25am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on County Road 3, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had repeatedly communicated electronically with his ex-girlfriend, therefore in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident.
The 24-year-old male from North Dundas Township is charged with;
– Criminal Harassment
– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking (5 counts)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
