(ORILLIA, ON.) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a male party after he fabricated a story and reported his vehicle stolen.
On February 9, 2015 the Orillia OPP were dispatched to the theft of a motor vehicle from a City of Orillia address. The owner of the vehicle advised officers that his jeep had been stolen from his driveway.
On March 5 the vehicle was located on the ice on Lake Simcoe near Line 14 in Oro-Medonte Township. After further investigation the owner of the vehicle was arrested.
Riley JACKSON, 19 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Public Mischief. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on April 28, 2015.
