(North Glengarry) – On October 6, 2014 at approximately 5:09pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township.
Officers located the vehicle but the driver did not stop when lights were activated on the police vehicle. The fleeing vehicle continued south on West Boundary Road and eventually collided with a ditch in the area of County Roads 34 and 45 (south limits of Alexandria). The adult male driver fled on foot but was arrested by police a short distance away. Further information indicated that the vehicle had been reported stolen from the City of Quebec. The accused also provided officers with false identification.

– Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Theft of a Motor Vehicle
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
– Personation with Intent to Avoid Arrest
– Resist Peace Officer
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (07Oct14).
