Stolen Vehicle And Family Dog Recovered

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment have charged a 29-year-old female after police investigated an incident at a Beach Avenue, Long Point, Norfolk County address.

On Sunday, September 30, 2018 at approximately 8:05 a.m., police received a call for an unwanted guest.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that a female was located sleeping on a sofa when the owners of the cottage entered the residence. Through further investigation, it was determined that the female had been involved in an incident that was reported earlier to the Peel Regional Police Service involving the theft of a motor vehicle and family dog.

As a result, police arrested and charged 29-year-old Alexis Magdaline MACROPOULOS of no fixed address with the following offences:

Assault peace officer

Assault

Unlawfully in a dwelling house

Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Three counts of failing to comply with recognizance

She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Simcoe at a later date.
