The Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation into stolen construction tools and trailers.
With the assistance of the Barrie Police Service Traffic Unit, officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle towing a trailer and arrested a 35 year old female from Barrie, a 25 year old male from Barrie and a 29 year old male from Brampton.
The driver was prohibited from driving. He was charged with five Highway Traffic Act offences and the vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
Investigators then attended a Barrie address and seized a second construction trailer which had been stolen from York Region yesterday. All three accused were charged with Theft Over $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property. Two of the individuals were released with a future court date and the one was held for a bail hearing.
The approximate value of the recovered property is $15000.
