Stolen Purses Recovered – Police Seek Victims – Catherine Corr Charged

Wingham Police have arrested a 23 year old former Wingham resident as a result of the investigation into thefts from unlocked vehicles in Wingham.

Catherine Corr of Clinton was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation. Corr had in her possession several purses that had been taken from the vehicles. At this time, not all of the victims are known and therefore police are requesting that any possible victims contact Constable Leslie at 357-1214 to arrange a time to view the purses to determine if their property was recovered.

In addition to this, police are asking residents to check their back yards and surrounding wooded areas for possible stolen items that may have been discarded. Corr is to appear in Wingham Court on November 22nd to answer to the charges.
