Stolen Hummer Found Destroyed By Fire

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating the theft of a red 2003 Hummer that was stolen overnight on February 5, 2013. Those responsible stole the vehicle sometime between midnight and 5:00 a.m.. The sports utility vehicle had been parked in the laneway of a Winnipeg Street residence. The owner reported the vehicle had been locked at the time of the theft.

Shortly after the vehicle was stolen it was found by a property owner in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh. The Hummer was found on the side of the road on Saratoga Line between Hawkins Road and Dungannon Road. The Hummer was completely destroyed by fire.

The vehicle was valued at an estimated $11,000.
