Stolen Backhoe Recovered

(ORILLIA, ON.) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recovered a stolen vehicle from a residence in Carden Township.

On March 19, 2015 the Orillia OPP executed a warrant at a residence on Lake Dalrymple Road in Carden Township and recovered a stolen backhoe. The backhoe was stolen on July 9, 2010 from a Mount St. Louis Road residence in Oro Medonte Township.

Police do not believe that the male in possession of the backhoe had anything to do with its theft and subsequently he has not been charged. The male stated that he bought the backhoe from someone he didn’t know for cash. The backhoe has been returned to its rightful owner.
