(Tudor & Cashel) – On July 11, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway # 62 near Stoney Settlement Road in Tudor and Cashel Township. A southbound sports utility vehicle (SUV) crossed the centreline and continued into the northbound lane forcing a northbound van off the roadway. The van subsequently rolled over in the ditch and the SUV struck numerous guard rails. No injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, the driver of the SUV 25 year old Steven PARKS of Flinton, ON was charged with Impaired Driving, Driving with More Than 80mg of Alcohol in Blood and Fail to Remain. He received a 90 day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. He will appear in Ontario Court of Justice – Belleville on August 13, 2015.
