(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday August 10, 2013, shortly after midnight, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program at the intersection of Perth Line 72 and Road 140 (North West of Milverton).
The officers observed a small pickup truck pull into a private laneway south of the intersection. The male driver of this vehicle was checked and was administered a roadside breath test which he failed. He also failed Intoxilyzer breath tests at the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel.
Steven GREEN (53) of Harriston has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of bloodâ€Â. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on September 11, 2013 to answer to this charge. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his pickup truck was impounded for 7 days.
