Steven CZEMODAN – Drunk Driving

(GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP) – On Sunday October 9, 2016 at approximately 2:39 p.m. officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on White’s Falls Road in Georgian Bay Township, ON.

A male driver approached the officers in a burgundy Chevrolet pick-up truck. Upon speaking to the male, an officer detected an odour of alcohol. The officer made a demand for a roadside test which resulted in a ‘fail’. The driver was arrested for over 80 and transported to the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment for further tests. As a result of the tests the driver was charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in 100ml of Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

Charged is Steven CZEMODAN (age 46) of Etobicoke, ON. He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on November 10, 2016 in Midland, ON.

The accused was also served an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded.
