(CALEDON, ON) – On April 1st, 2015 officers from the Caledon OPP Street Crime Unit conducted a Crime Abatement Check on a male who was bound by conditions to reside with a family member in Brampton. Officers attended the Brampton residence and were advised by the family member that the male was not home. Officers contacted the male by phone and he stated that he was leaving his place of employment and was headed home to Brampton.
Street Crime officers had information that the male had not been residing in Brampton as per his conditions but had actually taken residence in Caledon. Officers took observation on the Caledon residence and observed as the male left the residence heading to Brampton. Officers conducted a vehicle stop and the male was arrested.
Stephen Michael DAWSON, 26, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Breach of Recognizance, Breach of Probation and Driving while under Suspension.
The accused was held in custody overnight and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville the following day.
